There are many areas in our Williamsburg Bed and Breakfast where you can get a bit of privacy to read a book or play a game. Rooms are especially cozy during the holiday season where they are adorned with greenery, Christmas trees, hand made ornaments and wreaths.

The Library and Reception offers a gas burning fireplace, a large selection of books, many on Colonial Williamsburg and life in Colonial America. Our library provides a quiet place to read a book or enjoy the fine art of conversation with other guests. More photos >

 

The Tavern,  A replica of an 18th Century bar, The Tavern is equipped with a guest refrigerator and ice and glasses and cork screws are available. Enjoy a game of checkers or cards in front of the fireplace. And don’t forget! Pickup a copy of the Virginia Gazette, 1774 edition.

The Keeping Room located downstairs is where breakfast is served each morning. Mornings begin with sizzling bacon and homemade baked goods. Enjoy your candlelit breakfast in front of the deep kitchen fireplace. Newspapers, magazines and information on the area are available in the lounge area of the large room. 24 hour hot beverage service and homemade sweets are also available. Homemade desserts are offered each morning at breakfast. Breakfast is served at your leisure between 8:00am-9:00am. More photos >

Outside the Keeping Room is the rear deck area facing the wooded area. The Gazebo of Colonial History, Myths and Legends offers a cool place to relax after a long day walking the streets of Williamsburg. Below the Gazebo is the 18th Century Herb and Flower Garden. New this season, we are offering breakfast outside on our deck!

 

In colonial times the Inn or Tavern, often the only public building in a town would be the center of the community. Men would meet to discuss the news of the day, politics, pickup their mail, play a game of checkers or gossip over hearty food and a bottle of wine.
