Outside the Keeping Room is the rear deck area facing the wooded area. The Gazebo of Colonial History, Myths and Legends offers a cool place to relax after a long day walking the streets of Williamsburg. Below the Gazebo is the
18th Century Herb and Flower Garden.
New this season, we are offering
breakfast outside on our deck!
In colonial times the Inn or Tavern, often the only public building in a town would be the center of the community. Men would meet to discuss the news of the day, politics, pickup their mail, play a game of checkers or gossip over hearty food and a bottle of wine.
